Can I get workers' compensation for toxic mold illness?

Possibly, depending upon various circumstances and inclusion in your Workers Compensation policy. More than likely, your basic health insurance would kick in since the Workers Compensation insurance carrier may fight the claim. There are numerous cases of SBS (Sick Building Syndrome) or SHS (Sick Home Syndrome) all across the US, some of which are being attributed to mold problems. If you think your workplace conditions have made you sick, be sure to notify your employer and have proper notice of injury forms completed – this is necessary in order to pursue a Worker's Compensation claim.
