Nervous System, Tardive Dyskinesia and Dystonias (Involuntary Repetitive Movements), Drug-Induced Parkinsonian Symptoms, Hyperthermia, Depression, Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease, Edema, Liver Problems

Use of Reglan and/or Metoclopramide has been found to cause these common side effects:

  • Decreased energy, drowsiness, trouble sleeping
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Restlessness

However, use of Reglan in higher doses or over longer periods of time (more than 12 weeks) has been shown to cause much more serious side effects in some users. In fact, Metoclopramide, the generic drug form of Reglan, has been directly linked to nervous system disorders such as tardive dyskinesia and dystonias, as well as the presence of Parkinsonian symptoms, which may become persistent and irreversible. Observed serious side effects of taking Reglan include:

  • Tardive dyskinesia (involuntary repetitive movements of face)
  • Dystonias (tongue protrusions, muscle rigidity)
  • Parkinsonian symptoms
  • Hypertension, hypotension, and cardiovascular disease
  • Liver problems and jaundice
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Edema
  • Confusion and abnormal thinking
  • Seizures
  • Severe or persistent restlessness or inability to sit still
  • Vision changes

If you or a loved one has suffered harm as a result of the use of Reglan, seek legal help immediately to protect your rights. There is no fee and no other obligation, however, if you delay, you may lose your right to seek compensation for injuries caused by Reglan due to state-imposed time limits for filing a lawsuit.
