Some more common and usually less serious Zyprexa physical side effects include, but are not limited to:

  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Headache
  • Weight gain
  • Constipation
  • Weakness

The Zyprexa medication is available by prescription only. The patients at greatest risk are those with diabetes or high blood sugar as it further exacerbates the patient’s condition. Furthermore, the medication is not to be prescribed to elderly people with dementia-related psychoses or an elevated chance for strokes and should not be used if weight gain is a health risk. If you are taking the medication and experience any serious symptoms, consult with your physician immediately.
