Prozac Side Effects – Suicide & PPHN
Prozac, Eli Lilly’s antidepressant, has a very long list of side effects. The most serious is the risk of suicide in children and adults. Many have claimed that the same chemical effect that leads some people taking Prozac to commit suicide, has led others to act violently, which includes killing their families.
Prozac has been linked to persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN) in babies born to women who took Prozac after the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. Prozac has also been linked to withdrawal symptoms in babies born to mothers taking the drug.
