Elidel Lawsuits, Litigation & Lawyers – What You Should Know

Elidel, a drug manufactured by Novartis, is used to treat skin conditions like eczema, rosacea, and atopic dermatitis. Million of prescriptions for this drug were used by patients before the FDA (Federal Drug Administration) announced that patients had reported suffering from cancer after using Elidel. Novartis had advertised Elidel as safe for children, but the FDA now recommends that it not be prescribed for children under 2.

In most states people who have been injured by prescription drugs that have serious side effects that patient did not know about, can file a lawsuit to recover damages. The issues in this kind of lawsuit are whether the product was defective and how careful or honest the manufacturer and distributors have been in informing officials, health care providers, and the public about the drug and its side effects. The issues in Elidel litigation brought by patients who have suffered from cancer after using Elidel will be whether Elidel was unsafe and if Novartis and others were negligent or dishonest about possible Elidel side effects and risks.

If you or a loved one or family member have been injured by Elidel, you will want to find an Elidel attorney to evaluate your case, and, if you have a viable case, to represent you in your Elidel litigation. An Elidel lawyer will be able to help you to file your case in the time required under your state’s laws (Elidel statute of limitations) and to decided who to name as defendants and where to file your Elidel lawsuit.
